Type s of Organelles
If you could, please get a chance to see the obituary of our departed fellow Organelle.

There are a lot of different organelles, and a lot of different ways they work. There are also some only in plant cells, and some only in animal cells.
1. Mitochondria is in both, it is the organelle that is in charge of converting food into energy. It is sort of the power plant of the cell. 2. Golgi Bodies or Golgi Apparatus is also found in both cells, it is responsible for packaging materials and sending them all over the cell, it could be called the the post office of the cell. 3. Chloroplast is found in only the plant cell. It makes the plant green and is the source of photosynthesis. 4. Ribosomes are found in both and are responsible for making proteins for the cell. 5. Vacuoles are in both, but the plant cell has a larger one, when the vacuoles are filled up, it makes the plant stand up which is called Turgor Pressure. Vacuoles store food, waste, and water. 6. The Endoplasmic Reticulum (or ER) is transportation for the cell. There are two types of ER, Smooth and Rough. Smooth ER doesn't have ribosomes attached, responsible for production of hormones and processing lipids. Rough ER ribosomes are attached to the surface of this organelles and is responsible for processing proteins. 7. Lysosomes are only found in the animal cell, it assists into waste disposal. |
